Temperol arteritis is the inflammation of the temperol artery causing pain. The inflammation usually occurs in the carotid artery supplying blood to the scalp, eyes. So with inflammation the flow of blood will be affected and it causes symptoms like throbbing pain with headaches, vision problems, jaw pain, ear pain. Varunadi Kasayam - 10ml with 40ml of warm water before food twice daily, Kaisora guggulu can be used for a month. Once it gets better like after a month, apply gentle warm massages with Dhanvantaram thailam on the face, Balahatadi thailam for head, Nasyam with Anu thailam, karna puranam which is instilling 2-4drops of oil in each ear will be effective. Avoid oil application strictly when there are symptoms of inflammation like pain and low grade fever. But using oil after that will help to nourish and prevent further pain as it will decrease the increased Vata. Eat healthy warm cooked food. Include healthy anti-inflammatory foods like flax seeds, olive oil, spices like ginger, cinnamon, turmeric. Do Yogasanas like Padmasana, Sukhasana, Savasana initially and then slowly try with Saravangasana, halasana, sirsasana with as much as you can. Pranayamam, Yoganidra will be very beneficial as it will relax the mind as well as the blood vessels.
